Millennial Project 2.0 Preliminary Color Sketch

In 1992 The Millennial Project, by Marshall Savage was released. I did most of the illustrations in that book, which was a very detailed plan for getting our species off its collective butt and into space. Essentially, the idea was to found a society that would create artificial island/colonies and from the revenue generated launch a space program and, eventually, move its efforts into space. There is now an effort afoot to update and revise the text and I was asked to do more illustrations. This is the preliminary color sketch of the first painting I intend to do, showing a manned spaceship being launched from one of the artificial island/colonies. I will post other work as I complete it. Please do not reuse the images without attribution.
