The Ladyby *Keithspangle

I decided to put back up some of my older pieces. This was shown under a previous DA incarnation.
This is metal leaf(immitation gold and silver and copper), marker and oil paint on Clayboard...it's about 12" X 18"
The idea was to start coming up with icons for the future: here a spirit( meant to represent what humanity could be) shelters a sunflower. The symbol behind her is a wheel on which flowers are growing, meant to represent technology in service of life. The concepts need development and the leafing process isn't all that much fun and I'm really going on waaaaay too much about this, so....

This is gorgeous, I love all the details. It reminds me of art nouvea and medieval art. I like that her face is rendered but her hair and clothes are flat. My only problem with it is that her hands are too small.

Yeah...I keep doing that...my hands are smaller than what normal proportion allows, so that might be why I keep doing that...also feet.
